Indenting parsed JSON

Use the JSON formatter online to beautify valid JSON with two-space indentation after JSON.parse. Syntax must be valid before it can produce output.

  1. Step 1

    Use the workspace

Paste JSON and choose Format JSON. Correct syntax errors before retrying; copy the formatted output only after checking the parsed values.

Output behavior and limits

This is not JSON Schema validation. Large integers may lose precision, duplicate keys may collapse, and parse-and-serialize output is not the same original bytes.

Use double quotes and remove trailing commas. For byte-signed payloads or precision-sensitive values, preserve the original instead of replacing it with the formatted result. Validate first if you are unsure the text is valid JSON.
