Changing pixel dimensions
Resize image online to set width and height for social posts, product thumbnails, or web banners. The server resizes to the dimensions requested. Preserve the aspect ratio to avoid stretching; changing dimensions is separate from changing file format.
- Step 1
Use the workspace
Add an image to read its dimensions. Set width and height, using Maintain aspect ratio if needed, then choose Resize. Confirm the downloaded dimensions.
Output behavior and limits
Large reductions use staged Lanczos resizing, followed by sharpening and contrast enhancement. Output is not a pixel-identical miniature, and enlarged images do not gain original detail that was never in the source.
For a 2400 × 1600 image, 1200 × 800 preserves the 3:2 ratio. Use Crop Image when the destination requires a square rather than forcing square dimensions that stretch the subject.
Before replacing your original
- This operation uploads to the processing server. Clear results after downloading; deletion requests can fail and scheduled cleanup depends on the server running.
